Charlie & the Chocolate Factory
That's a great name for a gay porno.
I can't wait to see this movie. As I've mentioned before I just don't like to go to a lot of movies now-a-days cuz they're usually just dumb. I know this is a big budget hollywood movie but...it looks kinda fun and I read the book. I love Johnny Depp and Tim Burton (except for that awful Planet of the Apes movie). And the kid from Finding Neverland is playing Charlie. I love that kid. He's a great actor.
This was also one of the few books I read when I was younger. I rarely read any of the school books I was forced to read but somehow I got by. I would start them but get bored. Maybe it's the ADD. I actually got put in some book club for advanced student readers. We had to talk about the books. I never read any of them. I don't know how I did it either. Guess I was a good little bullshitter. I hope none of my teachers are reading this. If they are, I'm just kidding.
During my youth, I read Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Tom Sawyer, all the Encyclopedia Brown books and a bunch of Stephen King books (which, I realize, is kinda scary but keep in mind my dad took me to see Halloween when I was, like, 8). I'm pretty sure that's about all I read which is even scarier.
Anyway, I want to see this so if anyone else does this weekend, do let me know.

Let me know how much you liked it (or not). This is one movie I'd like to see (if it gets good reviews). I'm not a movie-goer and FEW trailers even get my attention, but this one looks great. (The last film I saw, to give you an idea, was Fahrenheit 911. Before that, I think it was Jurassic Park, or something... :-)
...
(Gay Porn...good one.)

Johnnie depp freaks me out as did gene wilder in the original... i'll stick to loving the books... but I LOVED Encyclopedia Brown, I read every single one at least twice and yes I cherised the Encyclopedia Brown cookbook and I even made a bunch of recipes from it! Sheesh I should have known then!

Tos, I'm not really sure what to say except that really scares me.

Gene Shalit hated it - so it must be good! It really bothers me that people keep going about the original movie - it f**kin' sucked, was an insult to the book and Roahl Dahlhated it. This 'version' is suppposed to be very like the book (yes it was always squirrels, not stupid geese), and while the verdict is out on the Oompa Loompas... I can't wait!!!!

Saw it already. Good, not great. The original is better and Johnny Depp is really annoying. Gene Wilder will always be Willy Wonka.

The new version is...new. It's very modernized. I was quite pleased with the Stanley Kubrick throwback in the film, but I swear I was the ONLY person in the movie theatre to get the joke.
Worth a DVD watch, but not movie theatre trip.

Saw the movie. New favorite actor is the kid who played Charlie. What a nice kid.......so charming.
Forget the popcorn for this movie.......roll a big fattie instead ;)
