Olympics
So I've been watching the Olympics. I admit it. I don't think the coverage has been as bad as everyone says (although I definitely agree the commentators can be excruciatingly annoying). Here are some of my observations:
* Bob Costas has dyed his hair way too dark. It just doesn't look natural. I noticed as the weeks progressed his hair has become slightly more natural looking.
* That Italian ice dancing couple made for some great television. I have never seen anything quite like it before. It was refreshing to see such bitchiness in front of the cameras. Did they not realize that everyone would see how they were behaving?
* Germans are talented.
* I should have gone into aerial skiing. It appears that I am the right height and weight for that sport. I would have been great. Damn.
* Dick Button is a bitchy old queen. He was just downright nasty to a lot of the figure skaters. I would love to see him get his fat ass out there and try some of those things the women had to do. I could feel Scott Hamilton cringing everytime he said something.
* The female commentator said during women's figure skating the following: "The other women skate to the music of "Romeo & Juliet"; Sasha Cohen IS Juliet." Gag me.
* I still don't understand curling.
* I am embarrassed to say that I had never heard of the country Belarus before the men's aerials.
* Does Greenland ever participate in the Olympics?
* The participants in figure skating all appear extremely nervous before they do their program. I wonder if there has ever been some accidental "leakage" (if you know what I mean) during a performance.
* Bobsledding seems kinda gay. You have to get awfully close and tight with a person of the same sex. I'm just sayin'...
* I used to think speed skating was kinda stupid until I saw that Korean kid do it. Man, he is really good.
* Bode Miller is kinda hot. Although he should probably lay off the alcohol like me.
* Shani Davis is kinda hot too.
Okay. That's all for now. Bu-bye.

Spank Us
You have no more shopping days! Today, Rob and I celebrate the date of our birth. We hope you will celebrate with us by sticking a candle in a cupcake, making a wish and blowing.
When I was in kindergarten, Miss Murphy would always serve the entire class a cupcake in honor of the special birthday boy or girl. She would then take the birthday recipient over her knee and spank them for each year of their life. I remember dreading the day she spanked me. Now that I think about it, this behavior seems rather cruel.
So if you see me or Rob today, you may lightly pat our behinds. But only today.

Spin, Spin Sugar
So I'm not the biggest Train fan. However, they cover Sugar's "If I Can't Change Your Mind" on their latest CD. It's actually getting good reviews. Check out Rolling Stone's review and then buy a copy of Train's CD. Bob makes money from it. And if Bob makes money from your purchase then Bob will most likely buy me a couple smoothies. What could be better than that??? C'mon, help a brother out. Buy it!
Also, don't forget, next week is our birthday. I hope you've been saving up. Please don't disappoint. Fear not, if it's too late to purchase a cool gift, we will accept blow jobs cash. :) I believe Blowoff is next Saturday. I'll be there with a big bag and I expect several bear hugs (at least), etc.
Woof. And stuff.

Home Sweet Home
I'm home! Finally. I have to say that the staff at Georgetown were awesome. So if you ever find yourself having seizures, it's a good hospital to go to.
I'm exhausted. Apparently, I did a shitload of damage to my muscles. I just need to drink lots of water and slowly go back into working out.
Anyway, this ordeal has made me realize what an amazing partner and friends and acquaintances I have. You know who you are. You never know who your true friends are until something like this happens. I've also received some of the nicest emails from people I don't even know. Means a lot. Thank you all!
And no Jimbo, there was no foaming at the mouth. This wasn't like a "scanners" seizure (although it was close).
My parents are coming down today and staying for a few days. I look forward to seeing them. They will pamper me and I will let them.
Here are a couple guys (and me) that have helped me out so much the past week. Love them:

If you see them, please praise them. Thanks.

Fall Risk
That was the sign on my hospital door.
After 3 weeks of senseless hard drinking, mainly to "cope" with unnecessary work and silly personal drama, my little body finally gave out. I went through a bout of irresponsible drinking 2 separate times last October but got through it mildly unscathed. Well, not this time. We went to a party last Saturday and it smacked me into reality. It was my own fault. I just drank too much, got silly, cried, met some cool people, met some not-so-cool people, cuddled with a straight couple, kissed a couple people, then went to bed.
The day after, we had a relatively quiet Sunday. Seriously, not all that much exciting happened. I didn't even really feel hungover.
Rob and I went to bed and I woke around 2 in the morning noticing the lights on and him stroking my hair while saying, "It's okay, it's okay." "Huh. What are you doing?" Rob's like, "Don't you know what happened?" I said, "Umm, no." "You had a pretty bad seizure." Wha-wha-what. "I did? I don't remember anything." Rob called a couple of our friends at 3 in the morning to see if they could offer some help. Two of them came over right away. I love these guys, David & Ira to death. David works at a hospital and recommended they take me in immediately. I was pretty alert, just kinda out of it but I DID NOT want to go to a hospital.
We get to Georgetown Hospital. We walk into the triage area off the waiting room to explain the problem and I begin to have my second seizure. Great way to show 'em what the problem is I guess. They took me back immediately. They put me on a stretcher and asked me questions. I told them the year was 2004 and the month was November. Again, once it was all over, I was alert and had no memory of what just happened.
They asked if I'd had anything to drink recently; I said I had quite a bit on Saturday (actually had for the past 3 weeks) but nothing too out of the ordinary for a party night. I also told them I took a couple Wellbutrins on Sunday. That seemed to help set in motion what appeared to be the problem. The Wellbutrin can help make seizures more likely. And if you're drinking like a fish, suddenly stopping for day, taking some Wellbutrin, you've got yourself a l'il situation. All that and they found I had acquired a case of pneumonia. Woo-hoo.
Anyway, I'm stuck at the damn hospital while they still shoot me up with IV's, ativan, percoset, monitor my heart 24/7, and constantly take my body temperature and blood pressure every few hours throughout the entire day. I've been pricked more times here than I was at the Crew Club. Ba-da-boom.
My primary doctor stopped by and spoke to me about some treatment places. I'm gonna check one of them out. I just want to be healthier, more responsible and not have others worry about me. I just need to deal with stress in a more responsible manner and if they can show me some of the tools, I'm a fool not to check it out.
Everything will be fine. I will be o-tay and even better than before. 'Mmm'kay?
