Friends Don't Let Friends Buy Rust-Colored Elements

Ew

Anyway, what an amazingly beautiful weekend it was. Have you ever noticed that spring smells a lot like strawberry fruit roll-ups? Seriously, take a whiff.

But all good things must come to an end.

Rob's sister and her 2 heathen children are staying with us for 4 days. Funny, I don't recall approving this field trip. The heathens are ages 11 and 13 - which, in Chinese, are the years of the incubus and pig, respectively.

I will be hiding in my cave.

Dear God!
Absolutely the worst thing on four wheels...a mobile shoebox. Bleh!

the kids are just scared, give them something to remember their old home with and a promise to be with them when they need you.

Elements were always more quirky than lovely, but they were one of the few auto designs honestly expressing the materials used and the construction methods employed - and all that WITHOUT resorting to the played out trend of derivative "retro" styling.  They were an important, if clunky, chunky break through, perfectly scaled and shaped for the non-windtunnel reality of urban driving.  Now they display all the standard styling cop outs: the blacked out B-pillars and plastic components painted to match the sheet metal like all the rest.  Sad.  Color-shmolor, you like orange or you don't; but I do miss the black plastic fenders and scratch hiding bumpers.

Add a couple of years, subtract a knowledge of English and wake them up at 6am so they are nice and cranky.

We like to call that 1st period! ;-)

Spring smells a lot like strawberry fruit roll-ups? Maybe in D.C. Here in Glen Burnie, it smells like hair spray and home heating oil. Blech!

What do you have against heathens? Christian imperialism is an ugly thing.
