Rimming Tims

I went to a country/western bar last night called Rimming Tims. The purpose was to visit Mr. Bartender, while he was working, and spend some time with his boyfriend. Such nice boys.

Mr. Bartender has a blog. He doesn't update it. Apparently he's busy and has a "life" and doesn't "have time" to write anything. I can totally relate.

He played this video last night. It's been out for awhile but I hadn't seen it. It's only about a minute and good for a giggle.

I've only been to Rimming Tims a few times. It's always fun to watch a bunch of cowboys slow dancing to a Martina McBride song. One time a cowboy caught me giggling at the side of the dancefloor and pulled me onto the floor. I grabbed hold of a pole, "Noooooooooo." My friends egged me on and told me to broaden my horizons. So I did. He was very gentle with me, even as I stepped all over his big snake-skinned boots. Plus, he was super cute. I would have slept with him if I were slutty. But I'm not. Or am I?

Anyway, I don't giggle anymore. Tee-hee.

Do they line-dance there at Rimming Tims the way we do at Cowpokes here in New Orleans?

If you really want a good giggle, take a trip to the grocery store and pick up a couple of tins of rimming sugar from the mixers section.

They also make great icebreakers at parties.

I don't giggle at the two-steppers-- or titter. Mostly it just sort of creeps me out, much like clowns do.

I know I should get over my hetero notions about couples dancing, but I just can't.

Whenever I think of the DB, I titter a little. Sometimes a lot.

Nothing's better than two-stepping with a big, burly cowboy. Laugh if you want; I'm out there dancing with the cute boys!

Oh, THAT place. Took me a few minutes before the light bulb went on.

I love Mr. Bartender. He's on my I'd.so.be.on.him.like.ketchup.on.a.wiener.but.he.has.a.boyfriend.besides.I.live.3000.miles.away list. Much as you are my little chickadee.

To me, line dancing doesn't look that much different than The Hustle. They just have bigger belt buckles and stomp their feet a lot.

Remmingtons is fun. Alot of the guys who go there are military. Its a better crowd than most. If I were in DC, I'd go there despite Jimbo's protestations of smelly bars now that there is no smoking. Is he ever happy?

Besides, where else can you see gay men dipping Skoal in a bar. Gives a whole new meaning to Skoal Ring.

Doesn't the blinding illumination in that place make people nervous? "Tim's" is lit up like a supermarket inside. I require "mood lighting."
