October 12th is the Day After National Coming Out Day!

I sure hope everyone enjoyed National Coming Out Day. How did you celebrate? I celebrated by engaging in homosexual sodomy. And coming out makes it much more enjoyable.

Speaking of...

I learned the sign language version of that song at Pinnacle Road Baptist Church when I was six. I still know most of it. Maybe I'll do it for you some night at Nellie's.

First spotted the trailer at the lovely LSL.

Screening of the film happens in DC October 26 - November 1 at Landmark E Street Cinema (my favorite theater in DC!). Check here to see if it's screening near you. Reviews here. Picture of me as a 3-year-old here.

So you came out at age 3???

You cute fuzzy little Sodomite you! I on the other hand I am a complete homosexual who NEVER engages in sodomy. (OK maybe sometimes but only when I am on an ecstasy and crystal meth bender) Jesus just wouldn't like it. He told me so just the other day. :)

The fact that you can parade around that pic of you in purple is a testament to your sense of humor. I, on the other hand, would BURY any such pic of me like that! I give you kudos for having the balls to put that pic on your website and link to it periodically. Don't get me wrong.. .you are cute as a button in the pic. You do realize that this outfit is probably what made you gay, don't you?

DB: Yes. But the shoes couldn't possibly have led to my homosexuality. As Loretta Lynn would say:

"We were poor, but we had love
That's the one thing that daddy made sure of
He shoveled coal worked the graveyard shift at Kodak to make a poor man's dollar

In the summertime we didn't have shoes to wear
But in the wintertime we'd all get a brand new pair
From a mail order catalog
Money made from sellin' a hog
Daddy always managed to get the money somewhere"

I think purple is your signature color.

You bore an uncanny resemblance to Tinky-Winky. Or he resembles you, since you were first.

Man, I wish I'd had some sodomy yesterday. Oh Well! Hmmm, I should dig up a little kid pic of me in a leisure suit.

I'm glad people are enjoying the photo of me as a little unfunky version of Prince, but did anyone watch the video???

Posted by: durban bud at October 12, 2007 02:07 PM

I watched it. I want to see it. Let's go Sunday.

Today, I got a flier in the mail about the Gay Orlando Film Festival and "For The Bible Tells Me So" is one of the films. I had never heard of it. Thanks for having the trailer there. It looks like a powerful movie.

I just thought tat it's also the first picture I have seen of you without pursed lips.

Posted by: Boomer at October 12, 2007 07:45 PM

I had that same outfit but I was 14 when it was hip.

Thanks for the link to the trailer...the Portland Lesbian and Gay Film Festival opens today and this film is playing.

Tomorrow, however, I see Brand Upon the Brain with Karen Black doing live narration!! I think I'll wear the old purple leisure suit to get her attention.

Me loves Karen Black!!

"sellin a hog". Is that what they're calling it these days? Well I NEVER! ... (well there was that one time...)

Actually, "Coal Miner's Daughter" is one of my all-time favorite movies and I can't believe I said that. ... I'm just... bad (sniff)

I'm definitely checking out "for the Bible tells me so" this w/e. Thanks for the link. It's no Landmark E Street Cinema, but The Edwards Westpark 8 is just down the street.

i'm without words (that's a shocker) for the millions of people floating around out there believing that the way THEY think is the only way. yeah, well fuck them.
i may not have children yet, but with all the little people i have in my life.....when one of them comes out....i'm gonna be one of the first to take them out, shut the fuck up and simply listen... and be a cheerleader to freedom with being them! Then we're gonna go grab whatever at the closest place to us that is overflowing with other people waiting to hit on them.

DB: Pam went with me to my very first gay bar, Carpe Diem, in Rochester, NY. She did her best to find a Garth Brooks look-a-like for me. She's a wonderful woman, and the gays love her. Now get your butt down to DC, Pam!
