Dag Mijn Vrienden
I'm in Holland. It's very Chris Miss C around these parts. And cold. I'm in a town called Wassenaar. My sister's family has a lovely place here. Rob and I are sleeping in a full-size bed. I miss those 6 extra inches.
Anyway, my parents arrive in Europe for the first time in their lives tomorrow. We are taking them on a tour of Amsterdam on Friday. Heading to Brugge, Belgium on Saturday, and -- as a Xmas gift to all of us -- on Christmas, my sister is taking all of us to a popular European city for a few days. My parents don't know about it yet and are gonna shit bricks when they find out. I will have my camera so I will document everything. I'll write more later. Au revoir!

Glad to see you and Rob make it to Europe in one piece. I feel extremely embarrassed that I have never been to Europe yet. Hell, I don't even have a passport. Damn. I am such a country bumpkin! Doh!
Have a great time with your family in Europe. DO take plenty of pics. You definitely need a photograph of you or Rob plugging a dike (dijk). That would be a hoot to see.
Have loads of fun TJ and Rob! ;)
BIG HUG,
Brett

Have a great holiday... If you are taking your parents where I think you are taking your parents, they will LOVE IT! Not liking "that city" is like not liking Santa Claus or Blow Jobs. Merry Christmas to you and Rob "the other half!"

That sounds fun. You gotta go up into the old guild tower in Brugge--it's the closest thing in real life to that cathedral in the first Batman movie.
Fries and mussels...

OMGOMGOMGOMG, you're taking them to Paris!!!!! Take your mama and papa to Notre Dame Cathedral for the majesty of full Mass on Sunday!! If your Southern Baptist mama is anything like my Southern Baptist mama, she'll get bored 10 minutes into it ("because they're all speaking *French*!"), but at least you will have definitively shown them the phabulous blue of the stained glass windows, and the quiet glamour of the vaulted ceilings proves that at least *some* Christians throughout history have had a proper appreciation for style and flair, godammit.

TJ & Rob, if you're going to Paris don't forget to visit La Marais, the gay district, it's in the 3rd arrondissment, not to far from Notre Dame. Also you're mom might enjoy Isle de St Luis, the small island behind Notre Dame, some cute boutiques. And visit St Germain as well, wonderful cafe's and shops! Pais is the most beutiful city in the world, Enjoy!
