'I Gotta Feeling' We'll Be Hearing That Song For The Rest Of Our Lives
I'm in New Hampshire.
Here I am on the beach on Thanksgiving Day, working my fierce LL Bean catalog pose:

Here is God pissing on my photo-shoot, trapping me:

Here's a big clam:

We spent Thanksgiving with Rob's family. But the primary reason for the trip was to attend Rob's 10th 20th High School Reunion. MUCH TO MY CHAGRIN. I didn't even go to my own - for obvious reasons! Rob had to go because he made the mistake of becoming president of his class back in the day, which obligates him to organize and speak at these events regularly or something. Listen up, kids -- that is why you never ever run for class president. High school memories will follow you until you die if you do!
But I played along cuz I'm sweet like that. Also, he FORCED me to go.
There was only one other gay person there. Hi John!
I said to the woman who helped organize the event, "How long into the night do you think the DJ will play "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas?" She said, "Um, I asked him to play that song first, to get things started." Oh. This is going swimmingly!
'I Gotta Feeling' that song will be played at every goddamn wedding, Bar-mitzvah, and class reunion from here on out. Mark my words!
The rest of that evening looked like this 30-second clip I shot:
Drunk Jennifers and 'I Gotta Feeling' are with us forever. Get used to them.

Oh lord how I hate that song. They didn't play it at my 20th earlier this year; but only because I don't think it was out yet. Sux you had to experience it though. :)

1. I am really tired of people dissing high school reunions, don't like it, don't go, I personally loved mine, I mean far enough the bully I had died a few years but meh, they are good.
2. Jake Dekard and Jason Crew get lost with some other hairy man, check it out at, errr, google it, but that is one reunion worth having :)Maybe they were re-enacting the Blair Witch Project.
PS: Paranormal Activity opens in two days here yay.

I briefly poked my head into a pre-reunion gathering for my 10th High School reunion, but was bored out of my mind so I left. I don't know if any were organized beyond that, and in any case, I didn't go.
Next Spring, the husband and I are planning to go to his 30th reunion (*gasp*.) I'm mostly OK with this except when the hell did we get old enough to have a 30th, reunion?!
But anyway, vanity aside, it could be fun watching the reaction when people ask if he's married and him replying that yes, he is, and introducing his husband. (We did the deed in Massachusetts late this past summer.

So, did you dance too? Or did you just stick your hands in your pocket the whole time?

I have to admit I had a good time at the reunion. TJ said he did too. He also danced with the women who love gay men. BTW the clam TJ and I found is alive.

I don't do my schools' reunions because there are too many of them (schools), or because I'm simply not of the right class to have loved my time there, let alone to enjoy the blue blooded in the extreme reunions. Only the snobs joined the ex-students group anyway. That and none of the hot guys I might want to see x many years down the line joined either.

Spouse hasn't gone to any of his reunions, but I have dragged him to my 20th and 25th. He was a good sport about it. I think its important for gays to go and bring their partners with them. It shows people we have a right to be there, that we're not that different from them, and it just might change someone's mind about the way they think of gays. Glad to hear you were a good sport and went with Rob!

I am a newbie on your blog I think. So hi there.
I caught my tenth. It was a bit of a time warp. So many of the peeps seemed stuck in the memories of yesteryear.
Twentieth is up next year. Will have to find someone to force to go.

Did you jam out with your clam out?

I think I would much rather go to someone else's class reunion. I could totally cut up and have fun, because hey. It ain't MY class reunion, you know?
P.S. I would have paid money for a clam shot with you holding the thing vertically by your crotch...
