It's Official: Meg Ryan's Current Face Makes Me Uncomfortable
Oh dear. I caught a glimpse of Meg Ryan being interviewed the other day on one of the morning shows and was stunned by the visual. Did Meg Ryan get labiaplasty on her face? I could barely watch the interview because the alterations to her once adorable face were so glaring. Her (facial) lips have been enhanced, while the rest of her face has had something done that elicit a curious head-tilt and a case of the heebie-jeebies. And that pains me to say about America's Sweetheart circa 1994. But when Harry met Sally I'm pretty sure she didn't look like Janice from The Muppets.

A botched plastic surgery can only compound an already fragile ego, which makes it even more painful to watch her on live TV, as she nervously giggles and awkwardly makes animated facial expressions to deflect sustained eye contact on any one of her perceived abnormalities. Poor thing. The pressure to remain desirable in an ageist industry must be exhausting (unless you're Steve Buscemi). Add a low dose of self-esteem, along with a disposable income and a few doctor referrals from shady friends, and you can have a less than 10% chance of successfully surgically enhancing your looks!

The good news for the 90% of folks who have destroyed their face is that, in very small instances, the work can be redone to salvage some sense of normalcy back to their face.
Congratulations, Daryl Hannah! I hope Meg considers a do-over, too.

Aging naturally is far more attractive. I'd much rather have real wrinkles than forestall having lines on my face only to have the whole thing end up looking freakish in the long run anyway.

Wow! I did not realize that Daryl Hannah recovered so beautifully.

I love Janice.
I didn't know about Daryl Hannah though. She was awesome in 'Clan of the Cave Bear'.

It really is tragic. Apparently no on in Hollywood believes in that concept of aging gracefully, or at least aging and still resembling yourself.
